The Whistler Sliding Centre

The Whistler Sliding Centre is one of only 16 international competition sliding tracks in the world. It has the highest vertical drop from top to low point of any track in the world: a staggering 152 metres. Athletes in the men’s luge face a G-force of 5.02 Gs and our own sliders will reach speeds of 100kmph with their bodies just centimetres from the ice in the men’s and women’s skeleton. The track’s surface comprises two to five centimetre of ice and is produced and maintained by hand.
