Rebecca Sinclair, 18, Snowboard
Introduction
Rebecca, known as Bex to her friends, is one of the youngest athletes vying for spot in the New Zealand Olympic Team to Vancouver. At just 18 Bex is dedicated and determined to succeed. She first competed for New Zealand in 2007 where she came first in the U15 half pipe at the Youth Worlds in Italy and sees representing New Zealand at the Olympic Games as an opportunity to be part of an event which brings people together to forget their differences as they prove themselves against the rest of the world.
Bex says beating challenges is about “trying to remember that a pyramid is not built from the top down. The apex is attained only by laying strong foundation stones one by one."
